Good Eats!!!! (Insert Theme Song In Here)
I happened upon one of my favorite Food Network Shows on hulu.com today and as a tribute, I decided to do the logo!
For this manicure, I started with Color Club’s Chip Free Pre Base and two coats of Color Club’s Smooth Operator Tinted Ridge Filler. I then used one coat of Nina Ultra Pro’s Bossa Nova as a base. I used a mix of Bossa Nova and Sally Hansen’s Lavender Cloud for the diamond background, a mix of Lavender Cloud and Zoya’s Renee for the “G” background, a mix of Bossa Nova and Sinful Colors Black on Black for the background of “ood”, OPI’s The IT Color for the background of the “E”, Sinful Colors Mint Apple for the background of the “ats”, and Black on Black and Lavender Cloud for the lettering.
For the thumb, I used the same base blues, Revlon’s Matte Suede in Powder Puff for the plate, the same mix of blue for the plate details as I used for “ood”, Zoya’s America for the tiny tomato, Claire’s Kelly Green for the tomato leaves, Color Club’s Charity Ball for the hams and bottom tomatoes, Color Club’s High Society for the mushrooms (mixed with Black on Black for the details) and then FINALLY topped off with one coat of Color Club’s 0-60 Speedy Dry Top Coat. After the picture, I used Color Club’s Cuticle Soothe Cuticle Oil.
I love Color Club’s Chip Free Pre Base because it works better than nail polish remover to remove dust and oil from the nail. Luckily, I rarely deal with chips because I change my polish so frequently, but when I wear a shade for an extended period of time, I intend to start with this product and let you know how it holds up.
I’ve used Color Club’s Cuticle Oil before, and let me tell you how thankful I am to have it now. My cuticles are so ripped up from the drilling/picking/acetone soaks, so I wear this all day- once after my morning shower, once before I go to bed, and right after I put on any polish. I’d recommend it up there with Crabtree and Evelyn’s La Source Hand Therapy Lotion and well above Burt’s Bee’s Cuticle Cream. And more? It smells like roasted ALMOND!! YUM!! But… Rafik keeps catching me smelling my fingers….

I love good eats! It always makes me so hungry though. Cute mani!
Well done!!
Good Eats is one of my favorite shows. I've tried several of AB's recipes and they always come out wonderfully. I keep hoping I'll run into him one day when I'm in Atlanta since I live an hour and a half away. I even almost crashed the UGA commencement in May because he was a speaker. Have I mentioned I have a bit of a fangirl crush on him?
I love this show. I used to watch the reruns like everyone for a very long time.
Soooo cute! I'm folllowing you now!
