I wanted to do a fall colors design that was unusual today. So I did! :D Its a bunch of earth colors and its meant to be a little scattered and abstract….
I started with OPI Nail Envy, then two coats of French Quarter For Your Thoughts with Alpine Snow sponged over it. I then used Road House Blues, Alpine Snow, Uh Oh Roll Down The Window, and Golden Rules for the designs. I sponged some Golden rules and as it got tacky I pushed some lines into it with a clear piece of plastic for some texture. It’s topped with Seche Vite.
Keep the nominations for the Palette Awards coming! I’ve already gotten to check out some truly lovely blogs and I’d love to see more! No blog is excluded from this and the more the merrier! Nominate your favorites, your own, your friends’, or ones you’ve stumbled on passing through!
I felt like doing a FUN design today so what better to do than an old game show!! Today’s design is based off of The Price is Right!
For this design I used all OPI, Nail Envy, Don’t Mess With OPI, Suzi Says Feng Shui, Dating A Royal, Gargantuan Green Grape, Green-wich Village, You’re Such A Kabuki Queen, What’s With The Cattitude?, The IT Color, Black Onyx, Alpine Snow, Golden Rules!, Quarter of a Cent-ury, and Seche Vite Top Coat.
This design is the logo of the show, the main background (green thing), the Plinko game, The Giant Wheel, the pointer on the wheel and then on the other hand is the contestants guesses for prices- 100, 2, 698, and 1 and then I gave myself a contestant name tag :)
Some of the polishes in this post were sent to me by the manufacturer. For further information, please see my disclosure statement.
I wanted to do another BAM POW! post with bunches of bright colors. Today’s design was inspired by an abstract piece of art that had white dots all over it. That was the plan originally but I liked how it turned out without the lines. I swear, in person the polishes don’t look so transparent or streaky! That’s my camera doing weird things to it! Haha
I used a coat of OPI Nail Envy as a base and then two coats of OPI Alpine Snow. For the colors: OPI Quarter of a Cent-ury, The IT Color, Planks A Lot, Green-wich Village, Dating A Royal, Suzi Says Feng Shui, Chop-Sticking To My Story, Black Onyx, and Seche Vite top coat.
See a pattern here? These seem to be the colors I go to for primary bright cremes. I know them and I love them and they’re, well, BRIGHT!
