A close family member of mine gave me this amazing book a few weeks ago called Everyday Zen by Charlotte Joko Beck. Its been amazingly helpful because it has insights you can use every single day. Due to end of college/beginning of life stress, you better believe that its been great to have on hand. So, today’s design is inspired by the cover- a sand and rock garden….
I used Color Club Sweet seduction as a base with OPI San-Tantonio mixed with OPI Alpine snow sponged on to make the sandy texture (which you can’t see in a picture-only in real life, go figure). Then I used Clarins 103 (Pink Shimmer) over everything to make it look like 3d grains of sand…. I THEN used OPI Suzi Loves Cowboys for the lines in the sand and a mix of OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous, China Glaze Cracked Concrete, OPI Black Shatter, and OPI Alpine Snow for the rocks. Topped off with one coat of Seche Vite and in person, its a wicked 3d sand garden and in pictures, it looks… sort of like one. :-)
