Tonight, I get to see my favorite band of all time play! Yes, Motley Crue is my favorite for nostalgia’s sake, but overall my favorite? They don’t hold the top spot. No, the top spot is held by the band A Perfect Circle and I am CRAZY LUCKY to be able to go. They just got back together recently and have been touring. Their shows sell out in 3 minutes or less and I’ve never heard of one of their show NOT selling out. When I found out they were coming to Atlanta, I flipped. Then, they were sold out (of course). I was devastated. THEN I found tickets online and snatched those suckers up!!! The design today is based off of their album covers of my two favorite albums by them (okay, yeah they only have three albums, so what)…. The left hand (top) is for their album Mer De Norms, and the bottom is for Thirteenth Step. The also have eMotive, which has some GREAT songs too, but most of my favorites come from these two.
For the left hand: I started with OPI Natural Nail Base Coat, OPI Black Onyx and OPI Midnight in Moscow (sponged over certain spots of Black Onyx). Then I sponged some OPI Take The Stage (which I also used for the thumb symbols) and some OPI Quarter of A Cent-ury. For the duality circle symbol I used OPI Chop-Sticking To My Story and for the white I used OPI Alpine Snow. Topped with a coat of Seche Vite.
For my right hand I used OPI Natural Nail Base Coat as a base with Alpine Snow. I sponged on some OPI Skull & Glossbones and then used OPI The IT Color for their duality circle symbol. Lettering was done with Black Onyx and again topped with Seche Vite.

I wanted to do another BAM POW! post with bunches of bright colors. Today’s design was inspired by an abstract piece of art that had white dots all over it. That was the plan originally but I liked how it turned out without the lines. I swear, in person the polishes don’t look so transparent or streaky! That’s my camera doing weird things to it! Haha
I used a coat of OPI Nail Envy as a base and then two coats of OPI Alpine Snow. For the colors: OPI Quarter of a Cent-ury, The IT Color, Planks A Lot, Green-wich Village, Dating A Royal, Suzi Says Feng Shui, Chop-Sticking To My Story, Black Onyx, and Seche Vite top coat.
See a pattern here? These seem to be the colors I go to for primary bright cremes. I know them and I love them and they’re, well, BRIGHT!
I’m loving Atlanta. I’m also loving that the temperature is 92 everyday and we have at LEAST 7 pools in our complex. You already saw pictures of my favorite one a few posts back. Life has been really busy but today, I deserve it, I’m visiting the pool. Today’s design is inspired by a beach towel that I came across by accident online….
For this design I started with OPI Natural Nail Base coat and used (all OPI) That’s Hot! Pink, Greenwich Village, Quarter of A Cent-ury, The IT Color, Dating A Royal, Suzi Says Feng Shui, Sparrow Me The Drama, Planks A Lot, Chop-Sticking To My Story, and Gargantuan Green Grape all on a base of Alpine Snow. Topped with Seche Vite and I’m ready to hit the rays. :)
Happy Summer :) I hope you’re enjoying it as much as I am!!!
